Ruben Bohbot

Ruben brings over a decade of commercial real estate finance and advisory experience to Slatt Capital. During his career, Ruben has placed equity and debt capital for over $4 Billion of real estate nationwide. His diverse client-base has allowed him to place this capital spanning across all property types and asset classes, including land, special-use assets, construction-to-perm, and owner-user office/industrial. Ruben has extensive experience in structuring transactions spanning up and down the capital stack, including mezzanine debt, joint-venture equity, and non-recourse bridge and perm debt.

Ruben Bohbot joined Slatt Capital in 2023 alongside Bryan Shaffer, together as Team Shaffer/Bohbot. Prior to joining Slatt Capital, Ruben served as a Director with George Smith Partners where he originated loans, performed and managed deal structuring, client relations, and capital partner relationships. Additionally, Ruben gained experience working in acquisitions and dispositions at The Standard Oil Credit Holding, a boutique firm based in New York City focused on the strategic acquisition of under-performing commercial real estate notes. During his term at The Standard Oil Credit Holding before deciding to move to Los Angeles in 2018, Ruben sourced and closed acquisitions collateralized by a total of over 1 million square feet of real estate.

Ruben is an active member of his community through philanthropic, young professional, and athletic groups alike. Ruben is happily married to his wife Shani, with whom they are new parents to a baby boy. In his free time, Ruben enjoys staying active and is an avid triathlete.
