Report From the Developers Showcase ’13

This past Thursday was the Developers Showcase, a real estate networking event put on by ACRE and NAIOP in Sacramento. Barry Slatt Mortgage sponsored a booth, which gave us an interesting perspective on the event and insight about the area’s commercial real estate outlook.

Attendance was up significantly over the past few years, and the sentiment from participants was wholly positive. It is clear the market in Sacramento hit bottom about a year or two ago, and is now in the process of slowly rebounding. The discussion amongst conference attendees about positive leasing trends, acquisitions, and even construction projects painted a promising outlook for the region. Add to those early indicators the impact the new stadium and downtown revival will have and Sacramento might just be a dark horse in 2014.
