Interest Rate Update – May 2018
May 3, 2018
The 10-year benchmark US Treasury (US10Y) closed today at 2.95%. The rate is up from its 12-month low in August 2017 of 2.06%. This year’s high of 3.03% was set on April 25th and marks the first time yields have crossed the 3% threshold in over 4 years. March marked the first month of modest decline, however, the US10Y once again steadily increased throughout April. The increase was similar to what we saw in January and February to start the year.
