Senior Vice President
Andrew Mekjavich serves as a Senior Vice President in the firm’s San Francisco and Walnut Creek offices. Specializing in the structure and arrangement of debt and equity financings on all commercial and multifamily property types nationwide, Andrew provides a comprehensive single source solution for both private-client and institutional real estate owners. His daily responsibilities include operational oversight, sales and marketing, loan underwriting and client services. Prior to joining Barry Slatt Mortgage Company, Andrew spent eight years as an executive manager for a national real estate valuation firm. When not at work, he enjoys playing terrible golf and flying airplanes.
Mr. Mekjavich is an active member with numerous industry associations, trade groups and nonprofit organizations. Andrew is a board member of both the Bay Area Mortgage Association (BAMA) and Cal Poly East Bay Alumni Association. Andrew also sits on the Board of Directors for Trinity Center, a service organization for homeless people in his community. He sits on multiple association committees including the California Mortgage Bankers Association and Alzheimer’s Association. Andrew is a graduate of both the CMBA (2007) and MBA (2011) Future Leaders Program.
Andrew is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a concentration in finance and appraisal.
